Our Programs

Livelihoods

The livelihood intervention of Livolink foundation is spread across three state i.e Odisha, Assam and Manipur while the focus is on the Southern, Western and Northern regions of Odisha, through three major programs of System of Rice Intensification (SRI), South Odisha Initiative (SOI), and Diversion Based Irrigation (DBI). The first phase of South Odisha Initiative has come to an end in February 2018. Therefore, a comprehensive livelihoods strategy has been developed for Odisha while integrating the learning and positive outcomes of SRI, DBI and SOI programs. The project is directly implemented by Livolink foundation and aims to enhance the household income of 12,000 families by 100% and 1300 families to a level of Rs. 75,000 per annum. Read more...

Crafts

Antaran is a comprehensive handloom program aims at arresting drift of weavers, particularly younger generation from the handloom sector. The overarching objective of the program is to create entrepreneur led microenterprises across each element of the value chain viz. pre-loom, on-loom and post-loom activities. Read more...

Eliminating Malaria

The health vertical of Livolink Foundation is targeted towards reducing the incidence of malaria and deaths caused by the disease in some of the most inaccessible villages of South Odisha. These villages are highly endemic to malaria and have an Annual Parasite Incidence (API) >10. The villages are tribal dominated and remain cut off during rainy season. Elderly care

As per Census 2011, there were about 4 million senior citizens in the state of Odisha constituting 9.5% of the total population. The Economic Survey 2018-2019 estimates that the number of senior citizens will grow to 4.9 million (10.8%) by 2021, 6.5 million (13.4%) by 2031 and 8.3 million (16.6%) by 2041. In order to address the challenges faced by senior citizens in the city of Bhubaneswar, the Elderly Care, Wellness and Engagement Program is being implemented in the city in collaboration with Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Department and HelpAge India.
